GET HOOKED! Information and Rules:
Tournament starts officially at 8:30 am (check-in will begin at 8am) and ends promptly at 11am. Last time of fish check-in will be 11:10 am. The Award ceremony will begin approx 11:15 PM
Participants: Ages 3 yrs – 14 yrs.
Fish Scoring – All Fish will be scored by weight and time noted will break any tie.
Price: $10 (All participants receive a gift)
RULES:
• Everyone must have fun!
• Participants must check in prior to the start of the derby.
• Fish MUST be caught using a rod and reel from the banks of the pond. NO ONE is allowed in the water at any time and NO NETS are allowed.
• Shore fishing only – 1 line per child. No adults allowed to fish during the Derby, they may assist their child if needed.
• If a child catches a particularly large fish or small fish, the fish should be brought to the measuring area immediately after being caught.
• Please practice “Catch and release” (ALL FISH must be alive to be weighed, ALL FISH must be released if possible after check in).
• All Massachusetts Fishing Laws apply! Rod & Reel method of fishing only. *Must bring your own equipment and bait (Please bring a bucket to carry fish in water to be weighed). “No rocket rods”
